A life with Buddhist art

Visual Dharma Publications has been publishing scholarly monographs on Buddhist art and culture since 1981. Each volume is the result of years of fieldwork, photography and writing by Ulrich von Schroeder.

The catalogue covers Indo-Tibetan bronzes, Nepalese stone sculpture, Tibetan painting, Sri Lankan Buddhist sculpture and — most recently — the rediscovery of the Tenth Karmapa, Chos dbyings rdo rje, as a major artist in his own right.

Books are produced in limited editions on archival paper, with high-fidelity reproductions intended to serve both general readers and specialists for decades to come
